Logotherapy recommends exploring experiential and creative values, so as a personal interest, this article will attempt to analyze the geometric and quantum components of the six vertices and cardinal points of the Octahedron.

Invoking the six vertices and cardinal points of the Octahedron is typically a meditative exercise found in esoteric traditions:

“Before Me, Behind Me, On my Left Hand, On my Right Hand, Above Me, Beneath Me…”

Something to consider: when invoking the six vertices of the Octahedron, visualize intently at the very minimal six energy lines evoking or protruding forth from the center of onself. See below axis lines x, y, z. Imagine yourself in the center point of this design.

In this exercise the center of oneself is also the middle point between the crown and sacral, often considered as the heart or solar plexus region, which corresponds with the sixth sefirot or emanation of Tiphareth of the Tree of Life. See diagram below.

You activate the center of Beauty (Tiphareth) through the utterance of:

Aperi Porta, Tiphareth, Prodeat!
Open the Gate, Tiphareth, Emanate forth!

With emphasis on the vibrational emanation of the word and sefirot of “Tiphareth.” Along with the authoritative command of “Prodeat!” This point is very important. This is said after the invocation of the eight vertices.

“Before Me, Behind Me, On my Left Hand, On my Right Hand, Above Me, Beneath Me, Within Me, Without Me.”

(The additional two vertices, 6+2 , ‘within me, without me’, will be an addendum to this article at a later date.)

The Octahedron is a convex polyhedron with 8 triangular faces, 6 vertices, and 12 edges (drexel.edu). During this type of invocation, ideally, you would like to visualize intently the creation of this sacred geometric design.

Essentially you are creating in the etheric, and in the third dimensional reality an energetic impression, of a pyramidal design that enhances energy transmission through the parallax dimensions.

The parallax dimensions are multidimensional realities intersecting with the real time and space of the perceiver, that create a sense of displacement or difference in the apparent position and objectivity of said phenomenon (the experience of the excercise itself) due to the varied lines of sight of multiple realities perceived, along with considering the multiple perceivers within the continuum of the collective (Parallax Measurements | National Schools’ Observatory, n.d.).

The parallax dimensions may only be entered and pierced through a pyramidal convergence. As also evident with the kemetic and kinetic pyramids of Giza, that are often said to be energy conductors charged with physio-electricity (Ago, 2017), with the aim of projecting the soul or isolate consciousness and centricity of self, through the ether into the realms of the Transcendent.

Yet, the entering must be in balance. This is where the octahedron comes into play. The octahedron enables a balance between both above and below, minimizing entropy.

The pyramid structure is the most foundational of sacred geometric designs with immovable and perfect strength and equilibrium.

“Entropy is a measure of molecular disorder or randomness of a system, and the second law states that entropy can be created but it cannot be destroyed. S S S + = ∆ This is called the entropy balance. Therefore, the entropy change of a system is zero if the state of the system does not change during the process.” (Bahrami, n.d.)

However, as depicted in the multiple dimensional realities diagram above, the parallax dimensions can only be entered with perfect equilibrium and minimal entropy, when the Tiphareth is activated with minimal obstruction as possible. This gives insight into the Kemetic principle, “one’s heart to be lighter than a feather to enter the realms of the gods.” For this energetic center also emanates energy, frequency, and vibration. (This will be further expanded in the addendum of 6+2.)

The heart center and Tiphareth emanation, is the zero point center of operation, and ideally in perfect sync with the rest of the human organism as depicted in the middle pillar diagram above. This may also indicate the heart center as the seat of the soul, or the pivotal anchor point of one’s centricity (core); centricity as also the core of the isolate intelligence or consciousness.

The Octahedron also symbolizes (and through that symbolism an evocation of power), the transcending of duality, with the ability to traverse the heavens above, and the netherworlds below. This also correlates with the shamanic view on traveling into and through the higher or lower worlds. This also emphasizes the axis line of “z” in the first diagram above, the middle pillar line between Kether and Malkuth, and ultimately the Axis Mundi and Center of the World, where the “sky, the earth, and the underworld” meet (Mexico-Tenochtitlan, Axis Mundi of the Universe, n.d.).

The sacred geometric design of the Octahedron is the mystic’s foundational design in attempting to traverse between the worlds as a shaman. A shaman as an individual with the ability to enter into and perceive “nonordinary reality” (Michael Harner Discusses Core Shamanism from the Foundation for Shamanic Studies Journal, Shamanism, n.d.).

However, in the realm of ceremonial esotericism there is another layer of sacred geometric design, known in alternative spiritual circles as Metatron’s Cube. Yet, it is originally known as “octaedron elevatum.”

What people call 3D model of Metatron’s cube appears to be Kepler’s stella octangula (a.k.a. stellated octahedron, [which] goes back to Pacioli (1509), who called it octaedron elevatum) inscibed into cube (Le Mée, 2001).

As an addendum to this article, we will discuss the sacred geometric role of the octaedron elevatum as a vehicle of mystical (consciousness-spirit) travel, perhaps better known archaically and kabbalistically as the “flaming chariot of the Merkabah riders.”
