Journey to Shambala: Choosing Peace Over Suffering
An individual once told me that to be human is to suffer. I responded, “Nay, to be human is to feel pain. Suffering is a choice.”
In this particular case, this individual exposes themselves to toxicity and then proclaims that life is about suffering. I suggested, remove yourself from the poison, and you will not suffer as much.
They countered, “Well, everyone in this world is sick.” I replied, “As long as there is mortality, there is sickness. Yet, there exists a one percent, not limited or confined by it—these are the true adepts.”
“Further, there is a place within, and somewhere upon these terrestrial grounds, that embodies pure stillness and utter peace. I have seen it and testify to this truth!”
They then asked, “What place is this?” I responded, “In Sanskrit, this word for peace, stillness, serenity, and an environment of love is also known as Shambala.”
